It does look like a chunky bit of pastry, but it was quite light — not in an undercooked shortbread way, just unusual and rather pleasant. The fruiting didn’t make me wince with sugar or feel plugged into the mains. There was a dusting, which deducts points, but I see no reality in which a dozen or so couldn’t be put away.
