Bloody Borg wazzi

Aldi Classic MPs today.

Good flavour to the mincemeat. Good spice and balanced sweetness. Best filling I’ve tasted for a while.
OTOH, the pastry was rubbish. Top was firm and crumbly with good colour, but completely tasteless. Base was under cooked and soggy. One might say claggy.

2/5.

I had one an hour ago Rob. Didn’t review because I’ve a stinking cold and my tastebuds are shot but it sounds like it wouldn’t have mattered.

Get to the hospital quick!

Lovely. Is it Saltburn?

Looks like it. Skinningrove side, I reckon.

Lovely on a summer day!

Like listening to music, eating a mince pie is rather about the mind set. I have been contemplating this for some time but I feel a meditative state is required to truly judge the merit and pleasure of a pie. Over on the R2R thread Guy posted a clip - I was pleased to sense the conductor at 3:20 projects precisely the right mindset for pie tasting

Ha! You beat me to it.

Standards are falling…

Mince pies - Brexit’s first victim (rising cost of ingredients). And so it begins …

Not sure Dave, we have been sidetracked by clag, heated or not and peripherals like ice cream and the like. Maybe we have forgotten what is important?
