Some booze replenishment arrived from MoM earlier.
Love the Cut spiced overproof rum. The Tullibardine 4 yr old single cask is fantastic too (actually aged 4yrs & 7 months from casking to disgorgement). Really challenges preconceptions about younger whiskies. It’s one of the nicer unpeated whiskies I’ve tried in some time. It’s actually aged in an ex white wine cask. The only reference I have for a similar age statement single malt is Ardbeg Wee Beastie (5yr age statement) & this is far far better than that IMV. The provenance is better too being a single cask whisky & ABV is quite pokey at 65.9%. A real steal at £46-95. There’s only 360 bottles of this 'un, I’ve personally bagged 4 & I am somewhat surprised at how long they’ve had stock available, although initially I myself wuz put off trying it as I wondered whether £47 for a 4yr age statement wuz a bit rich, when I’ve been regularly bagging 8 & 9yr age statement single cask, cask strength efforts fer similar money.
The Five & Twenty is a 2yr age statement, single cask straight Rye whiskey from New York (actually 2yrs & 8 months from casking to disgorgement).
Comes from quite an interesting combination producer. They also have a winery & brewery + a fish-farm on site & the company has a focus on sustainability & locally sourced produce.
This has only been available for a few days & is a MoM bestseller already, priced at £39-95, ABV is 53.5%. There are only 320 bottles, so it won’t be available for long.

Cheers. I’ll be doing one of those. Thank you.
I’ll be having a first dram shortly Guy. I’m fairly sure it’ll be worth a punt anyhow, as it has quite interestin’ credentials. I may need ter have me trigger finger ready!
I’m enjoying this, needs properly chilling… (and that’s as far as I’m prepared to go after my last embarrassing chardonnay debacle!)
You are going to need a bigger glass.
It’s always nice to see something that isn’t a pint of beer.
