The Mosquito and Blackburn Buccaneer have got to be well up there in my favourites along with the Lightning.
Wouldn’t fancy flying a sheet of plywood though.

I’ve just looked at the build and review. :star_struck:

How about some hobby crossover action?

Vac-form so suitably faff loaded too.

Outstanding!

Amalgam model of a D Type. Ten grand plus and 1/8 scale.

It wouldn’t look like that if I assembled it!

Stunning though.

On a more affordable level, one of these 1/18 die cast beauties from Sun Star

At ten grand it comes ready made.

At ten grand you should be able to drive it!

Not much making then.

None at all, only fifty percent compliant with the thread title. Mind you, that’s better than a lot of posts in other threads

I have started a Revel kit I’ve had lying around for ten years, an F50 and a 320b in a double kit. Just waiting for that Tamiya Mosquito to become available again.

Need to find a better quality than Revel, but nice to get started all the same.

I use to deliver to Amalgam in the mid 90s, always hoped they werent ready so i could look around. Fascinating seeing the work.
I use to drink with one of the modellers who has since started his own company in Pembrokeshire

Always find this guy fascinating to watch, he usually does small dioramas:

I’ve seen a few stunning models over the last few years
One was a 2nd World War ship that wasn’t quite finished, had taken 12 years upto that point
I didn’t realise that the model fraternity that take it seriously will only use 10% or less of off the shelf parts

If we get back to work, I’ll start taking pics when I see them
