No party in power is ever going to change FPTP.

Heard Michael Gove this morning trying to suggest that the SNP didnât have a mandate to hold another indyref as the majority of voters didnât vote for parties wanting one. Funny how FPTP is fine until it isnât.

It wasnât great
The Conservatives gained control of 13 councils, giving them 63 in total. There are now 2,346 Tory councillors across England â an increase of 236.
Labour lost control of eight councils, leaving them with 44 in total. The party now has 1,344 councillors â a fall of 327.
Hats off to the Greens for an amazing effort in Bristol.
