You’ve got to hand it to the French. When their government tries to say “No more sweets” they really know how to throw a tantrum

We could do with a bit more of that here.

Defence tops that list, especially senior officials and senior military personel. The revolving did is so fast it beggars beleif. In addition you then have the number of above who work in the public sectir as consultants or join the merry go round of NEDs at all levels. For that latter, I’ve even seen serving officials take extra salary for work as a NED.

That report hadn’t begun to scratch the surface!

Outside of defence there are some 200 public sector agencies, each with Boards and NEDs and hundreds more across the NHS and Education.

Got your ‘retirement’ sorted then? :grinning:

Had the distinct pleasure of turning down an offer, judging by the look on his face i dont think many turn down offers. Not at NED level i might add, just a couple of years working for a company that had a large contract with MOD.

5 weeks until part time starts, no going back now and really looking forward to it.

How part is your time going to be Bob ?

23 hours, but it allows me to take that part of my pension that is in the Classic scheme where it will then rise at CPI rate, this is far more than our pay rises.

Isn’t Paul Kagame one of Tiny Blair’s pet projects.

Nice Freudian finger/keyboard slip…
(apologies if intentional)

She did say the interior design in the accommodation was to die for.

Saw this yesterday. Sums up the ridiculous position taken by Johnson beautifully.
