This morning Twitter decided to start pushing the full parade of grifters - Fox, Farage, Grimes etc. at me.
Just before I muted the bloody lot of them I noticed Farage boasting that he was going to be compiling “a very large database” of people who have been “de-banked”.

Presumably not coincidentally the ULEZ extension just got the high court go-ahead a few minutes ago, and Khan published this.
Hopefully Labour have got over their Uxbridge panic and will see it through.

Uxbridge residents who voted for this not to happen might be feeling cheated this morning.
I’m genuinely interested to see what happens with my neighbours.
The batty old dame contingent don’t drive, there are some fairly new cars, but there are a lot of 15-20 year old saloons and 4*4s that (able-bodied) folk use to drive one road over for no reason that I can fathom.
Will they suck up the financial clattering they’re going to get, or replace, or walk and take the bus?
Until there’s the option of something equally ego-inflating I fear they’ll stick with the chokemobiles. At the least they say “Look at me. I can afford to run this.”.

Which A2 engine / variant is ULEZ compliant? FoL2 has a 90bhp TDi which isn’t, so getting into Brizzle has become more of an issue for her… she might consider a change if another compliant A2 could be found.

Thank you - and good luck with yours. It seems a shame that the diesels are more economical, but still don’t get the nod for ULEZ etc. I thought the main aim of anti-car legislation was to cut CO2 emissions, must be being naive…

I think it’s because diesels spit out out all sorts of other nasty shit, not just CO2.
The myth that diesel was cleaner was well and truly fckd after the VAG scandal.

Diesel = particulates
A bit surprised but it seems that my 8 year old diesel Passat passes the ULEZ checker. Tried the checker a few times, it still says it’s ok. Bit of a relief as I seem to be going to outer London a couple of times a month at the moment.
