The multinationals that own the gas fields are free to sell on the international market and the only benefit will be to the Exchequer. It is likely we will still import LNG and gas as we do now.

Always some left over to subsidise their oil mates to build and run carbon capture plants to pump the very CO2 they created back into the rock where they get the oil from. This ensures the continuation of oil in the laughable nett zero economy.
