....more armchair politics (Part 2)

WTF is going on with Mandelson, assume Labour want him back in the fold as the BBC have been doing puff pieces every day since his Cuntsberg interview.

He does seem to be going full Pizza Hut.

The odious twat could not be more wrong. By adopting the 19th century Monroe doctrine and ignoring the post 1945 rules based system and institutions, Trump is making the world a safer place for strong men, bullies and dictators. How Johnson can claim otherwise is mystifying. For all his many faults, Johnson is not a stupid man.

Oh he really is, barely a braincell of intelligence.

Are you sure about that?

He’s done some remarkably convincing impressions of one…

Alright then. I submit to the collective wisdom and stand corrected.

It’s possible to be stupid and clever at the same time. To use a Boris word, hubris.

I don’t believe he is stupid either. He has a lot to gain from kissing Trumps ass politically.

Are we seeing the beginning of another attempt to get back into politics?

If not, there’s gonna be a lot of material for his paid speeches, innit.

Anything to do with rent boys perhaps :man_shrugging:

Johnson has a limited skill set. Some of those skills might be present at an unusually high level. Sadly the recognition of them by others, and the mix of praise/reward that can follow, can when the person in question is young lead them to believe that they are generally clever, not just very particularly so. Johnson did get into Oxford and did leave with a degree and the latter, at least, is an objective judgement. He also managed to talk his way into a number of jobs. As far as I can tell he was sacked from all of them when his incompetence and dishonesty were sooner or later recognised.

The belief that he had the ability to be an effective Foreign Secretary and, subsequently, Prime Minister when in fact he turned out to be the worst ever holder of both jobs (maybe jointly with Liz Truss but at least she quit almost immediately) is evidence of very deep and dangerous stupidity.

In an ocean of irredeemable turds somehow he manages to stand out as being really super-turdy.

How useless do you have to be to not keep a secret defection from Kemi Badenoch? Answer: a shadow justice secretary who can’t keep documentation filed properly…

he probably accidently added her to the whatsapp defection group chat

LibDems going for cultural relevance with this.

I reckon Boris will be the next big signing…

Can’t see that ever happening while Farage is leader

I do fear this resurrection, though there’s nothing particularly Churchillian about it.

If Reform don’t need him — and at present it looks like a walk-in — why bother at all? Nigel, yee-haw Farageski, is already more than sufficient. (It’s also a private Co and Nige doesn’t know how to share)
