One could potentially accuse that of being ‘modified’, no ?

Well, it’s certainly a low rider

Tis the American way. Still rather like it in stock form.

Seems cheap. I thought they fetched a fair bit more than that nowadays.

I do love a T-bucket.

Great story - especially reading Steve Scott’s own corollary.

Interesting to know where George Barris’ rep as a douchebag comes from, too.

Don’t make me hafta…

Ideally fatter tyres on the rear but I do love the 50/60s vibe.

I was fortunate enough to live through the Strayan Hot Rod scene in the 70s via a mate who’s brother owned a Frenched, slammed, chopped and channeled 60s Holden. It was beautifully done. Not subtle but a sensational example of it’s form. Much more subtle than the Rat Rods of today.

I was very much into the ‘33 - ‘35 Ford Rods. Small block V8s and Jag rear ends.

I even bought a 1940 Ford “Sloper” to ‘Rod. Like this…

351ci Windsor V8 fitted to a Hurst shifter but no (viable) gearbox or rear end. Interior needed huge money spent, so lost interest. Sold it.

However, there is part of me that hankers for a Blown, small block T-Bucket….

Just not in this country.
