Music To Look Forward To (New Releases)

Cheers. Ordered :+1:

I am a man of eclectic tastes … plus he is one of the best guitarists around, and there’s an array of excellent musicians on there too.

You are indeed.
I prefer his sister, Lisa… :upside_down_face:

@stu looks like all the Moloko albums are getting re-issued on vinyl. Things to Make and Do now on pre-order and Do You Like My Tight Sweater was released the other week.

The Comet Is Coming have repressed the reasonably hard to find Final Eclipse EP, details etc are here:

This is the only bit of their physical output I don’t have so I will be ordering a copy.

However, they are also offering their LP and both EPs for £39.99 plus postage which is bloody good value. Details of that are here:

I was at the 1983 Hacienda and Kilkenny Shows. I have no recollection of KIlkenny being filmed though. It was broadcast on both BBC and RTÉ in Ireland, although there were missing tracks from both broadcasts. I wasn’t at the 1982 Hacienda show. It was an opening celebration, the previous night being an invitation only party IIRC. A good soundboard recording will be a very welcome update over my mate’s cassette recording.

Any idea when pre-orders start Olan ?

From Steve Hofmann:

“This was an early and apparently accidental leak rather than an official announcement from the label.

This means:

That release date in January is far from definite and is very likely to slip back further at this point.

The listings aren’t quite right and are still subject to changes, hopefully nothing major but you never know.”

Far from confirmed apparently as even the original links have now vanished.

Also:
Blue Monday 11/15/2019
Confusion 11/22/2019
Thieves Like Us 11/29/2019
Murder 12/06/2019

Erm, I was not aware of the Steve Hoffman link. Suffice to say that I expect the track listing to be fairly firm. I also expect the re-release of the associated singles as this was the pattern with the Movement Box. Those dates are supposedly firm. I would expect this in late February/early March 2020 as the January release date is a bit iffy for a bunch of reasons (most obviously it is in the post-Xmas broke period).

The links have vanished because Mute are trying to clean up a mess.

I’ve ordered this from Amazon France as they had it for c £165 vs £190-210 from UK stores.
