First vinyl release of Grant Green - Live at Club Mozambique:
Yep Iāve ordered that
Looking forward to this in October.
About to stream two tracks that have appeared on Apple Music.
Grant Green shipment date on The Third Man website has been pushed back to November 3rd. Iām over the moon that they took the money up front for this one.
inevitable. Hope its worth the wait (ie press it properly you fuckers!)
Iāve just written to them to find out how this will affect the free shipping offer. If they think Iām waitng until November for the Byrd LP just to benefit from the free shipping theyāve got another thing coming.
From their website:
How do pre-orders work?
Pre-ordered items do not ship until the sale date listed on the product page. Any items placed in an order with a pre-ordered item will be held until the sale date of the pre-ordered item.
This just popped-up on my timeline -
Not wild about their subscription model - cancelling will likely be a nightmare, but £80 for the three is not insane. Works out at ~£26 per album, which is about as cheap as you can find them in the minefield of used vinyl.
Coloured vinylās not loved by all, but not much point fretting with these recordings as they mostly werenāt of the highest quality to start with.
Obviously one for the Barrett fans / Floyd completists.
Found this on PFM:
I pre-ordered it on Juno:
Itās a seminal album Paul - itās a pity itās two live versions of Harvest Time I would have ordered it if itād had a live version of Love Will Find A Way.
I hear you, unfortunately the AAA isnāt fully analogue and doesnāt double in value in a month, which to the afflicted = beans on toast.
This is not why I buy a record.
If you bought it would you actually play it or keep it sealed in its shrink wrap etc?
Sound investments are nice. Hand made letter press covers are superb. Cut directly from the original analog master tapes, through all valve 1965 Ortofon vinyl cutting system sounds excellent. No equalization, compression or any other processing are added which often sounds superb, at least with other ERC recordings. This particular LP as you know is a work of art, it deserves the full treatment I believe. Ltd run of 300 will sell out in pre sale. Collector bait perhaps, the rarest copy of this is the UK Philips which I have, it doesnāt sound as good as the US 1st which I also have, Iām keen to see what this one is like so yep, Iāll be playing it.
No need for an intervention, Iām too far gone.
@ruprecht - this is available on pre-order for Wednesdays
