Notes from a remote island

I just showed the pic to Mrs VB. She likes the look “But” she said, “how does it work with just the one set of speakers ?”.

What’s the big box back right? Some kind of mains purifying gizmo?

No it’s a Hitachi PCM recorder.

At least you haven’t got into any of that R2R nonsense!

I’m curious what your neighbours will make of the sheer volume of kit on display. All these years they thought you were a regular guy. Now you reveal yourself to be Fetlar’s biggest/only hi-end hifi hoarder.

Where’s the Motus?

Me too! We’ll see when they come here.

There’s one guy who is an obsessive record collector who is supposed to be visiting next week (don’t tell Nicola) He’s got a couple of systems that I’ve heard.

Sitting here in its box. It’s next up and will go where the Sansui is.

I set up the SP10 first, as it was easy and meant I could have music while I worked. The others have just been brought out as the boxes have appeared, no other reason.

I need to make a new PSU for the Io Ltd. The other Heath Robinson effort didn’t travel too well!

I’d love to see the look on his face when he first claps eyes on all the loveliness.
