Or more to the point, who’s trying to get tickets?
Shit, checked the dates, getting my hair done.
Err no thanks.
Moi, bottom left.
The Belgians (him: die-hard since the nineties) have pre-cleared staying with us, and he’s “won” some sort of early go on Friday instead of Saturday.
Mate in Bolton is lining up the whole family to have a simultaneous go for Heaton Park on Saturday. His stepson is 18 and no matter how irrelevant 90s music is, I would think that the atmosphere for the home game would be quite something.
Me: not so much
Fuck no
I can stay at home and stick pins in my knackers and have more fun. And it’s cheaper.
I’d fucking love to see Oasis live, BUT…
I’ve missed the boat by nigh on 20 years, and I’m not prepared to join in on the media circus driven carousel of vastly inflated ticket prices, hotel rooms etc, & the whole malarkey surrounding lining the pockets of music/media celebs trying to re-imagine what once was…£££$$$
Sad, and call me a cunty cynic, but I suspect it’s unlikely to be what I, and most fans of music of that generation think it could/should be!
Couple of people at work gearing up for ticket sales.
They generally do pretty well for Glasto tickets etc but it seems to involve about 4 people manning about 20 devices.
Their own little bot group!
No.
I do know a couple at work who will try though.
Good luck to anyone who wants to go.
No reason why the band shouldn’t put on a great show.
They are all probably better musicians than they were in the 90s and a lot fitter and younger than The Rolling Stones who are still filling big venues with happy fans around the world
Having said all that, if any rich Mancunians of this here establishment would care to furnish me with a ticket and provide accommodation for the weekend then I’ll happily eat my words after witnessing what could possibly be the “Gig of the Century!”
The biggest bet is will they get through all of them without issues?
I never liked anything to do with britpop. It was all media hype and no substance for me.
Can’t be arsed.
Neither can I. Someone said earlier that they’re not spending £150 to stand in a field full of Reform voters…
I can see that. Fake nostalgia for something that was never as good as people made it out to be in the first place.
Seen them twice before and disappointing both times.
Nah. Seeing any band at a venue the size of a football ground is a recipe for disappointment.
If the band is Oasis, all I’ll hear is the cash registers - distant cash registers, in very poor sound.
I do owe Oasis some gratitude though. I bought their first three albums on vinyl (all first pressings). Sold them on ebay years later and made enough money to buy my Sugden Masterclass phono stage.
Thanks lads.
