My childhood right there. We have a range of the Peace at Last, Five Minutes Peace, On the Way Home books all singed as Jill used to live next door to my Grandparents in Chessington.
BBC News - Everly Brothers: US rock ānā roll star Don Everly dies aged 84
Iām sorry about the guy from UB40, but what with him and Sean Lock and so on, all these people karking it worryingly close to my age can do one.
Well, theyāve already done one, but you get my drift.
From a law of averages standpoint they are doing you a favour.
Charlie Watts. RIP
Didnāt think he would be the first in that group to go.
So they are mortal, then? Damn
I was just reading a HiFi Choice article and it referenced dead or likely to die musos.
Charlie was mentioned.
He was the one Stone I related to. He was an eccentric. He owned cars but didnāt drive. He owned horses but didnāt ride. He owned outfits for all of these pursuits and they all involved ties and tweed.
As a drummer, we learned that simplicity and sparing delivery had itās place. He was the best possible drummer for the Rolling Stones. He was stylish and level. Married for longer than most have careers.
A sad loss.
Iāll play a couple of 'Stones LPs this evening.
Sad news.
Very sad indeed. He was a gentleman and nice to talk to, no airs. Only two originals left.
Indeed. The one time I had a chance to talk with him (at a drum clinic), he was warm and friendly.
A gentle man who was thrust into the limelight.
He wasnāt too flattering about Jagger though. No surprise.
He had his style as well.
