Didnā€™t someone here or at the Wam own his old JBLs at one point? Oldius?

I went to his place in Notting Hill a couple of times in the 90ā€™s when he was borrowing an AI500 for a while. He seemed a really nice guy in person. Funny & knowledgeable.

Very sad. I seem to have been listening to him for ever.

What a shame, had read that heā€™d given up smoking recentlyā€¦

Amazing talent, though. Iā€™ve never been disturbed by cinema like I have watching David Lynch movies. A genius for writing crazy-evil male baddies, and getting the performaces out of the actors.

I remember going to see Blue Velvet when it came out, a bunch of us went to The Prince Charles, just off Leicester Sq. All of us were blown away by it. Iā€™ve watched it over and over since and never got bored of it. I honestly think itā€™s just about perfect, with not a moment wasted.

RIP.

I was just telling Anne the same thing.

Me and my two mates went to see it together and I donā€™t think a film has had such an impact as Blue Velvet and special mention for his use of music in his films as well.

RIP indeed - what a sad day.

I bought the final part of Twin Peaks only last week as I wanted to watch the whole thing from the beginning again.
