Feels like the end of an era. Saw the final lineup during the âEnd Of The Roadâ tour in 2019 as Sam was a fan, enjoyed it more than I expected TBH - like any pop act with longevity, they were entertainers first and foremost.

Kiss were glam rockers who were late to the party - typical Americans! 
I âsawâ KISS at Donnington Monsters of Rock â88 sadly I didnât really pay that much attention to them as I was deep into my metal snob phase and more interested in GnR, megadeth and of course maiden not some bemakeupped poseurs from across the pond. I was busy hurling empty plastic bottles at other dirty greebos in a mud pit during their set. The GnR set was terrifying, the crowd surge was awful and I remember trying to help people stay upright whoâd got tangled up in some stray tarpaulin.
I later came to appreciate KISS when I moved to Texas and heard them in their correct cultural setting.
