I agree. There aren’t many people I consider true heroes but he was one.
His is the face in my mind’s-eye when I re-read the stories for the umpteenth time.
My wife and I were in the company of Dr Hook, great guys, they even offered to take us home on the tour bus. It was Shel Silverstein whose songs gave the band their break. Dennis Loccorrier was very friendly and good company, if a little zany at times but a good guy. A talented man with an almost unique voice. I think he was the last original member of Hook. RIP Dennis.
Brilliant songs.
RIP Dennis
Such great songs including Penicillin Penny and Dont give a dose to one you love most ![]()

Fucks sake. What a good player. I was at Murreyfield in 1990. It was a great weekend despite the loss.
He was part of a great Scotland and Lions team.
Dick Parry, 83.
This’ll make some folk feel old!
Dick was never an ‘official member’ of Pink Floyd but he was influential as the saxophonist on several tracks, including “Money”, “Us and Them”, and “Shine On You Crazy Diamond,” often playing more than one saxophone on each track, swinging one out of the way before continuing playing on the second. Some of us grew up listening to the albums these tracks featured on.
He played alongside David Gilmour for decades. This pic is from 1963 when they were part of the ‘ABC Minors’.
He was also a keyboard player and vocalist in the early Floyd days.
I saw him play in Berlin as a part of Roger Waters epic ‘The Wall’ concert.
Petition to get the Williamsburg Bridge renamed the Sonny Rollins Williamsburg Bridge
Now that attention has been drawn to it, there’ll no doubt be pressure to call it the Donald Trump Williamsburg Bridge.
Surely just rename the whole place and everything in it Donaldsburg ? Nobody’s heard of this William guy anyhow. Nobody. Loser. Dead loser, in fact.
Marjane Satrapi.
If you have never seen the animated film Persepolis, it is well worth seeking out
