Think the swimming and athletics will be the worst.

Such a shame for anyone who has trained 5 years for this.

It should have been pushed back another 12 months.

I agree, it’s not the same without the crowds and must be such a huge loss of money from the tourists for the local businesses.

I still remember an own goal from the Olympics ages ago, might have been the 70s, when it was completely amateur.

I think it was Greece; a defender got into trouble on his right wing about 40 yards out. Decides to hoof it back to the keeper, and bends it beautifully into the top right corner. Keeper had no chance. Majestic.

I occasionally look for it on YouTube, but to no avail. Sad.

Swedish women’s football team, steam rollered USA👍
Japan V Denmark mixed badminton was a good match.

I used to play quite competitive badminton in Sweden. Lived there for 10 years so always follow Swedish and badminton exploits.

I enjoy cycling, but watching it is to me as watching paint dry :woozy_face:

When you’ve worked for over 10 years to get a Paralympics cancellation is not an option. The year postponement has done enough damage. Cancellation would have ended the careers of many talented athletes. It’s right to go ahead even without an audience. Of course I am biased but I see first hand what affect these decisions have on an athlete.

Yes, I can imagine for many another year isn’t an option.
Sport without crowds just takes away so much.
70% of the Japanese didn’t want it to go ahead.
Olympics is so much more than medals, you only have to see how the UK felt about itself in 2012.
Just think its sad for Japan

I have been watching the woman’s weightlifting.
The winner’s clean and jerk was impressive but you should have seen her snatch.
