I once saw that with a 4x4 towing what looked like a stock car on a trailer. Unfortunately it started as they rattled past us in the middle lane on the M6. Fortunately my mate, who was driving, got us onto the hard shoulder and braked quickly enough that by the time the other folks were occupying both middle and inside lanes we were behind them. Eventually they went up the embankment and came to a stop. The trailer and stock car had detached from the 4x4, dug in and flipped over. The 4x4, thank heavens, was still upright. We got out and ran over to find the occupants very shaken and possibly bruised but otherwise unhurt. It wasn’t clear whether the 4x4 was still roadworthy. In the event we, and they, agreed that it would be better if we left the scene before the emergency services showed up. If we’d had to bear witness to what actually happened they might have been in pretty hot water.
