Actually I think the pro does have an insulated lining but my lowly model doesn’t.
I think that’s with the optional attachment…
Simply solved by having four 11" pizzas
Indeed. If they really do bake in 90 seconds, I think I’ll be OK.
smaller pizza = more variety
Alert: - This thinking leads downwards to notions of: ‘fun size’.
Enjoy your ban.
Got that email today, a lot of their accessories are silly money.
If the handle isn’t made of mpingo they can get to fuck…
Aldi are doing a pellet fuelled Ooni clone this week,
Thought it was just pressed, black painted steel, but it’s black coated stainless. Could be decent.
It’s quite a bit cheaper than the baby Ooni, and does slightly bigger pizzas.
I want one for this summer, so that’s got me thinking…
‘Working temperature up to 350 deg’? I thought the Ooni went hotter than that?
I’ve had my Karu way over 500°c if my thermometer is to be believed, but that translated into burnt bases while the kids waited for the mountain of cheese, which they insisted had to be piled on to make a proper pizza, to melt through.
Cinders n cheese…yum
For Master Craftsman read Blacksmith.
Tut tut @Rob998, this is where you’re going wrong. Children don’t insist they implore, which of course you should refuse to listen to. If they press their case, or worse still cry to their mother, which I cannot abide, then you should smack the uncooked pizza out of their hands onto a dirty floor and tell them no pizza untill they learn to listen to elementary instructions
This is how fathers get bullied into buying ponies, and you don’t want to get dragged down that road wearing your skirt and blouse
I posted this over on PFM and someone bit.
He’s a bit underwhelmed with it, tbf. The pellets he bought (£5 for 20kg, which is way less than I pay for kitty litter…) burn through in about 2 minutes and it seems to cool down quickly.
He accepts it probably is partially down to the pellets, but reckons the hopper is gash, way too small, istr someone here fabbed/bodged a bigger hopper for their Ooni?
Any chance of a pic of the bigger hopper (was it a stainless milk jug or something?) and a recommendation for some longer burning pellets?
Great work
