Yes I think probably catering for maybe 6 is about the sensible limit. A lot of time and effort is expended tweaking it to keep the temperature up.
The gas versions are more practical for catering for bigger parties, I’m going to get one of the gas attachments for mine in their next sale.
Tbh, for the amount of time the pizza is in the oven, there can’t actually be that much smoke flavour imparted from pellets or sticks?
I’m on the lookout too for the above reasons and for cooking other stuff in it aside from pizza
I dont think I ever tweak mine, but I do use a funnel on top to hold more pellets.
Only issue I found on a longer cook was the pellet tray filled with ash and blocked the airflow.
I noticed the older Ooni could have it’s pellet hopper jiggled to reposition the burning pellets whereas the Fyra doesn’t have any such provision. I was putting a stick down the loading tube to agitate the pellets.
Ah, mine is the older one. I do give it a bash or shove a stick in if the pellets have got stuck between pizzas.
Selling my Ooni 3, peel, 10kg pellets, 10 kg Blue Caputo flour. £180 collect Worcester.
Actually 9.5 kg Caputo, I made one batch of dough
I’ll buy your gas attachment off ya
