Dinner is served - turkey crown with jacket spuds and roasted veg.
Nice bottle of Aussie viognier to wash it down.

Dinner?? Surely you mean lunch. :face_with_monocle:

Dinner’s the big meal, whenever you eat it, isn’t it ? As in ‘school dinners’. If your midday meal is small it’s lunch. If your evening meal is small it’s supper. Of course the scoff in the picture could be second breakfast.

I’m just having my tea :+1:

Was always pre bed, post pub or WM club when I was a kid. A light evening meal was tea.

I think supper is tea for posh folks.

Is that because they have ‘afternoon tea?’

I wasn’t allowed out to the pub much when I was a kid. We had tea, but somewhere around 5.30 I think.

I was rarely allowed in the pub, it was usually the back seat of the car hoping there wouldn’t be a lock in. Unless I was at my uncles then we would all go along to the working man’s club.

Pea, ham and parmisan risotto.
