Worth asking the Dealership for the Driving Experience Day freebie at Silverstone.
On the basis you dont ask, you dont get.

Really like the look and colour.

Have you collected now ?

Tuesday - had to wait for the new V5 for the Targa as I needed to put my plate on retention, then the sales bloke I was dealing with caught covid.

collected, signed and sealed.

went for quick 30 mile spin. Different driving to the 991 steering is way sharper, more eager under acceleration.
Interior is way better put together- but better insulation means you hear less of the engine and exhaust. With the roof down you can hear it all loud and clear.

More pix when you’ve got time (and its not dark)

Called into local tyre depot for Calor gas refill this afternoon.
V pretty 1 yr old Targa parked up having a tyre repaired.
Porsche OPC said only a new tyre would do.
Doncha just love those guys.

fuckity, fuck, fuck - some arse with a tow-bar reversed into me in a car park at work…i noticed the tow bar pickup thing when i pulled into the space. When i came back this had happened, pickup had gone. CCTV non functional in that carpark (i think i had been warned about that years ago)

Luckily my insurance co is very efficient, and already booked in to a pork approved bodyshop for 15th Feb…not much makes me angry but this is a pisser. Thank fuck for protected no claims

anyway for thiose that asked for more pictures:

Oh that is bastard, sorry to hear.

If it’s any consolation the rest of the car looks superb. Great looking prep job, the paintwork looks amazing.

Thank you - it is - they have done a nice job - i am so crap at keeping cars clean…

Luckily looks like the damage is only the plastic bumper - no metalwork, bonnet lid looks unscathed and mechanism works.

I am amazed at how smooth the insurance thing is - got in touch with Broker (Adrian Flux) straightaway, they took details, and passed onto insurance company (Aviva) - had a call from bodyshop about two hours later - all booked in with courtesy car…

It’s regrettable that somebody else’s insurer won’t fit the bill but it’s unquestionably smoother when only one insurer is involved.
