Yesterday Ava had her first meeting as the Labour Party Weald of Kent Youth Officer.

Today she’s been runnin’ t’ings with her CCF troop.

She is utterly unlike me at the same age. Must be mum’s genes!

I get a little lost… I think she is Sergeant Major, now. The troop is a combination of her school and another, and she leads it.

She is also a Grey Jumper - the 20 strong prefect group at her school. I didn’t realise, but the selection process goes on for 6 months and the students consider it prestigious. She was made Sergeant Major and a Grey jumper in the same week which pissed quite a few people off. Including some of her friends.

When we asked if she was ok with that, worried that she might be bullied. She grinned with this steely look in her eye and said, “Fuck em.”

She’s unbelievable.

She didn’t go for it. She thought that it would be too much work and would get in the way of her studies. I’m glad she didn’t try, her week is jam- packed as it is!

Yep, SSM (Wo2) very very good achievement.

But tell her collars badges should be perpendicular to the step of the collars roll.

Quite amazed our Amy got a reply, she also had a terrific parents evening tonight too. Her teachers were taken aback when she showed them😀.

This is a nice one from Cusco & surrounding area.

Be sure to go into settings and put the quality to 1080. Trekking, biking & eating.

Mouse is now a Trainee Search Dog and Claire an official handler
Northumberland again at the weekend (passed), then a stock test yesterday involving working around sheep (a basic and onerous requirement for any dog likely to come into contact with livestock on the hills) - passed with flying colours.
So proud of them both and it makes the time spent hiding in wet bracken well worth it
