Proud dad (/mum/grandad/uncle/whatever) moments

I am so glad they weren’t around during my youthful stupidity
(Sadly my stupidity continued far past any age that could be thought of as ‘youth’)

To be fair, you were safe unless someone sent a Daguerrotype by Morse telegraph.

Far from it :pensive:

When I was having a shit time at work 10?years ago, my then 5? year old FoL presented me with this. Just found it in my wallet.

Our 6 year old granddaughter on Bryn for the first time. He’s 30 years old and this is the first time he has been saddled in 18 months.

FoL got a nice break from GCSE exams today (2 down, 21 to go) and is at her hockey club end of season do. It was her first season and she has just been awarded the “most improved young player” gong. Her self-confidence has grown massively this year. She is naturally a quiet person and I’m dead chuffed to see her come out of her shell.

I’ve basically given up posting here but after a fair amount of Leith Export Co “Table Whisky” grain I’d like to share “Human Metamorphoses” (oh aye) niece #2’s end of year piece.

Girl’s definitely going places.

Agree with the 2 dudes above.

Today I was mainly in a big back garden in that there London, with lots of other people, and a Duke, to celebrate FOL#2 Gold DofE award

Nice day for it, then off to FnM for a glass of fizz, and Soho for a steak.

Long plate with sarnies and cake with a cup of tea?

And the dodgiest tailoring you will see at a Palace event!

His suit did at least look like it was his this year, when FOL#1 went 2 years ago he appeared to be wearing something 6 sizes too large.
He seemed in good form, spent over an hour working the crowd in the garden while we enjoyed the brass band

No sarnies, just a cup cake and tea in a DofE branded plastic thing
