She did one side, then went to the pub for her tea, and then came home to do the other side.
The last time I pulled a stunt like that, I was servicing the forks on a CX500 Eurosport, and I ended up in a hedge because I’d forgotten to put the oil in…
Sounds like she knows her priorities ![]()
I always tell our daughters that they can learn from their mistakes, but it’s better to learn from other people’s mistakes… Look at daddy!
BTW, I think it has always been like that with many kids, then and now.
Last week our youngest needed to deliver some paper for school. Starting 23:00 the night before, working the night through until 07:45. To have her boyfriend pick it up to deliver at school and then she went to bed ![]()
Nephew #2 the youngest ever winner of the (whatever, I think it translates to 400cc) cup

I used to work in very high voltage engineering. That’s an important way of thinking. The details of other poeple’s mistakes can usually be found in the coroner’s reports
(in real life I recall it happening twice - both times in the USA and not people I knew personally).
Her Freelander passed it’s MoT btw, not even an advisory, which has to be some kind of miracle.
Kwollity. Safe girl.
Should we get her CV into JLR?
Eldest grandson Alfie just got his final exam results after 5 years intensive studying etc for his medical degree ..He passed every one with honours !. Now awaiting which hospital he will be assigned to for the next 2 years ..”Dr Alfie Lyons Resident Doctor” has a nice ring to it ..Starts getting paid in August ..he’s a caring lad and should be an asset to the NHS ..hopefully he can look after me ![]()
Yesterday we welcomed baby Ava into this godforsaken planet. Granddaughter number 2 and I’m still not 50. She’s a wee peach, 7lb 6oz and a great set of lungs on her. Mother doing well, in the labour suite for a whole ten minutes. Wee one was obviously keen to get out.
Congratulations!
Nice one! ![]()
