All 7 riders crossed the line within 0.179 seconds but there are no medals for a very close 7th. Nephew #2 was first obvs.

One could say a less formal mayor, with a much smaller and less fancy dangler, and not be wrong.

I get the feeling it was sprung upon him, otherwise my sister would no doubt be taking him to task.
Really proud of him, first of all for sticking his head above that parapet two years ago and secondly, the amount of legwork he’s done since
Certainly an achievement, though not one I’m sure I’d be comfortable taking on in these times.

I went to the mayor-making in Didcot last Tuesday evening (he’s a neighbour and friend, and there was free prosecco and buffet). The way it seems to work here is that last year’s deputy mayor is appointed this year’s mayor ‘unopposed’. So the contest for deputy mayor is the serious one.
