I’m afraid it is 80/20 against it staying. It is safe until we have planning though. It hides the house when looking from the lane, which stops the jobsworth YTS planner from arguing that the extension will be visible.

I suspect ours won’t be a million miles away from that when we do move in. A lack of landing balustades and a handrail on the stairs is likely going to be the deciding factor. Although, a temporary fix with some 4x2 might do it.

Our planning appeal has been allowed in our favour in full! The appeal inspector said in polite terms wtf are the local authority on about. Thank god. We were quite exposed if it hadn’t gone in our favour.
