Restaurant recommendations

Starter for 10 anyone care to recommend a restaurant/pub open on a Sunday (23rd August) in Shrewsbury?

To set a standard what about the Shrewsbury Hotel for all your Wetherspoon favorites?

Melon balls with wafer thin ham.

Never been myself but I’m told https://www.brunningandprice.co.uk/armoury/ is very good. I’ve been to another of their pubs, The Woodbridge, Coalport, and that was excellent every time.

am staying there

Nice one. Wanted to book dinner there for Monday (wedding anniversary), but can’t get in. Feel sad.
Tis probably the best place to eat in town though.

One of the bonuses of The Seahorse is a half decent wine list.

for our next course we are basing ourselves for three nights in Aberystwyth.

Anybody got any recommendations for eating, drinking and merriment?

TIA

McDonald’s if you are in a rush, KFC if it’s a special night and fancy somewhere with a chilled out ambience
