Pate a sausage roll
Filling with zero flavour or texture. It was more of a pink paste roll than a sausage roll. Pastry was bone dry and yet somehow greasy at the same time. I used three sachets of brown sauce as lubricant to allow me to consume the hateful thing.
I’m considering making my own over the weekend.
Sausage filling is all but pate, thing is I don’t really fancy adding cream - Might be good with butter though?

Which pastry recipe are you using?
I’ve never tried to make sausage rolls but may now.
Simmons ones are epic when they’re fresh. Proper greasy meat and plenty of it.
Additional to or instead of seasoned pork ?

If I can’t be arsed the Jus-Rol puff pastry sheets are ok.
They look good.
I’m not a fan of the taste of Jus Rol if I can be arsed to avoid it.
