Kinda relieved I didn’t get the job with them…
looks like they’ve employed another fucking nerd.
That didn’t take long…

I’m currently using Qobuz with hi res, I could be tempted back to Tidal.
I have subs to both and I still prefer Qobuz tbh. Even if both used FLAC, Qobuz has better curated content, a nicer app and their PR is much fitter.
I fucking love his pivot from promising an instant 3 month ban for anyone having the temerity to mention MQA being torpedoed to imploring people to keep it civil.
He has either been handed his arse on a plate by senior management, or chucked under the bus by senior management depending on whether he was outside policy, or they changed policy.
Either way he is taking all the flac
Oof
That was almost funny. Where is Kevin, and what have you done to him ?
They are now Roon ready
Just seen that Roon has been bought by Harman International
Looks like Harman have acquired Roon. Hopefully a good move overall. Should inject some resources and professionalism into the fucking twats.
Is this good or bad?
I was shocked by @Tons_of_fun’s tale of the backlog of certification.
If it’s that messed up then you allow uncertified gear to connect while you sort yourself out, surely.
No, no. Obviously the answer is fuck over your subscribers while engaging in a messy public spat with the manufacturers.
Just had to google them, thought the Harman Kardon thing folded years ago.
Hopefully they’ll transfer support over to Harman/Samsung and not use those window lickers on the forum anymore.
Please tell me Doolally Danny got fucked off into the ether as part of the takeover?
Got one of these in my kitchen, (and anywhere else) works a treat
I’m not sure how this is going to go to be honest. On the one hand, HI is run by adults and they do generally do good and interesting things. On the other hand, I don’t necessarily see what’s in it for them to keep Roon as it is. I also imagine that companies getting things certified will be absolutely delighted to send their samples to a massive company that owns Mark Levinson, JBL, Arcam etc.
