Yeah it’s not staying there. Was just plonked somewhere safe before I went to work. It’s about 30% larger than my brain had figured. No idea where to put it

Embrace the asymmetry and remove a shelf from that side.
Always best to have a big container of water above the electronics.

Tokin SIT amp back again after a few more mods, ie some foo in the shape of four AN Niobium resistors in the front end buffer stage. About to plug it in and brace myself for the lifting of veils and blacker blacks

Yep always fancied trying these Nagra VPAs and these came up and was offered a pretty good deal these plus an ex demo Nagra Classic pre, trading in my Vitus amp. Pretty things and SQ is lovely on first impressions, certainly making the Blumenhofers sing.

I remember Nagraboy at Scalford playing music i didn’t like, via small Harbeths (which i find boring), via a Nagra pre. I was transfixed by the emotion coming through the music. I’ve always liked / rated Nagra since then.

I bought that pre(Nagra PLP) off him during the pandemic. One of the best purchases I have made. Great pre and phono stage.

I heard a pair of Nagra VPAs with a nice pair of Raidhos and the presentation was great, really holographic midrange and very smooth and easy to listen to for long periods.
