I shall have a look. I’m going to try & trace the circuit. It’s feedback eq in the phono stage which I’m not normally a fan of but it’s working nicely in this.
That fucin thing broke my shed window
Posting drunk, just found a picture, Jan 2013. It split apart, through the shed window and rolled through the snow!
Quiz question for those who know their P-mount carts: It has the Technics P22 fitted and sounds decent to my ears but I’m sure nephew is going to ask me about what could be gained by upgrading the cart and to what.
Any ideas?
Ha ha amazing
Rolling in the snow…it’s a Christmas SUT🎄
Almost had wrecked SUTs roasting on an open fire…
Isn’t there a p mount version of the Ortofon 2M Blue ?
The MC that came with the SL10 was nice (EPC310) & arguably the best P mount but they are relatively spendy. I have one but I’m not aware of any current production P mount MCs. I think most are now MM from Ortofon & AT.
The AT-85EP is still readily available new and is surprisingly good.
IME, the AT-85EP is pretty good, the standard Technics better and the EPC310MC a lot better still, but at a price (£300+).
The Pickering 3003 (?) is also very good.
A lot of Trio / Kenwood KD727s came with a Kenwood V57 fitted. This is a rebadged AT312EP, a decent replaceable stylus moving coil. It could be cheaper to buy a complete t/t than a secondhand AT312, e.g. https://www.ebay.co.uk/i/274144615592?ul_noapp=true, which looks as if it has one fitted.
If you shop around you can still pick up a new replacement stylus for about £80-£100.
Which Kefs are they Edd ?
103.2, They were Dads, so had them 30+ years.
They are good. I enjoyed listening to these last time I was at Ed’s
Alien man doesn’t look convinced either.
