Shiny brand new second hand things in my system today

Crocs will help with that…I might try putting some under the NAF…

Ah, I see them now…

I’ve been very impressed with my ASR Mini Basis phonostage and managed to get a 3 month old Exclusive version off if Audiomarkt. It certainly has a lot more circuitry and a greater selection of settings. Not listened yet but expecting good things.

Back last night

New speakers courtesy of Jack @Ciderpig , fantastic sound but he warned me several times that setup can be tricky.

Now finding that out and just trying to get the bass tamed a bit but do they do sound fantastic and may well displace the Audio Notes

Even managed to get them home (unmarked) in the back of the Mini

Nice. Was tempted to get a pair before I went H2’s/ Ta’us hunting.

I recall trying to help Pmac get the balance of his right. It was all down to rear wall proximity & the height of the spikes but once it was set right they gave a lovely full sound.

Indeed. Set up can be fiddly, but well worth persevering with. Those look a bit close to the corners of the room to me.

I would try moving them slightly closer together with a bit less toe in. Then it’s all down to the height of the spikes, which have a massive effect on the loading of the bass.

Remote control spikes, there’s a serious gap in the market right there

Jack PM’d me as well, have now squared them up a bit, pulled them out 18 inches and raised them about 10mm

Used to really toeing in the LV’s & AN’s

I would still try moving them a few inches closer together.

Six inches, each

That’ll help

Have moved them closer together so they are now 6ft apart from inside edge to edge and raised them a few mm at a time until the bass sounds the best.

They have outstanding detail and bass guitars or double bass sound fantastic.

Got a lovely turntable platform from BobC on Saturday for my Transrotor. Hand delivered and a pleasure to see him again. That makes it two platforms from Bob and a plinth for the SP10.
