Teeth, hard comming and cunts going. - Might as well make them glow while the’yre about. Would try.
The paper that Hannah Fry is citing appeared in 2014 in China Science - Physics, Mechanics and Astronomy which seems to be a reasonably good Chinese journal. My first thought was that they must simply have had it checked over by referees whose English wasn’t ‘native’ enough to spot the problem. After all, you could probably have learned a foreign language to quite a high level in a school or uni without ever being exposed to words like that.
But it seems that there was a 2007 paper, again by an entirely Chinese set of authors, that used the same abbreviation and that appeared in Chemical Communications which is published by the Royal Society of Chemistry who are based in London. You’d have expected the editorial team on Chem Commun to have spotted that.
