First sourdough loaf
Slight mishap going on to the baking stone, slightly out of shape, smells the biz though
Todays effort was meant to be a Ciabatta - but I decided to give it a few stretch and folds - it all rose more than it should
So I ended up rolling the shape as a result the loafs are more like mini baguettes. They are going quickly and am about to tuck into egg and chips with bread and butter
Today is special because I am baking my 100th loaf to Guy’s wholemeal recipe. I was inspired by the “show us your baps” thread started by Guy- Many thanks to him. Since April we have bought shop just bread twice.
Going forward I may be less anal regarding keeping a log and also will probably buy shop loaves a little more frequently.
The trusty mixer is still going strong
Indeed,thanks to guy,I have a similar mixer in the cupboard doing nothing.really must get it out over Xmas,I have no excuse
