Slaughterhouse

Just back after our visit to UCL/Macmillan Centre and a nice wander around Covent Garden. All clear for now, but 6 monthly checks for next two years, and then annual. Both very relieved.

Fantastic news

Finally got to see the oncologist today with regards radiotherapy.
He showed me the initial PET scan I had last July before I began any treatment where there were a few large blobs of bright cancer and then the he showed the one I had after 4 sessions of chemotherapy- which showed it pretty much all gone.
I’ve had another 8 sessions of chemo since that scan so can’t believe there is any left.

However just to be sure there are no microscopic cancer particles left I am having a course of radiotherapy.
He did warn me that I am likely to get very bad diarrhoea. :poop: :poop:

Got a CT scan and planning appointment on Monday morning.

Great news about the scans Paul. All seems very promising.

Ask the Doctor for lots of Loperamide. It is easy to underestimate how debilitating diarrhea is but at least you have some modicum of control with Loperamide. I’ve managed to give lectures to classes of 250+ undergrads while suffering from a gravy crisis.
