Booze is the best medicine for patients like her…
Get well soon Terry!
Best wishes for a speedy recovery Terry.
I found a better solution (no pun intended!);
Naproxen/Co-Codamol cocktails.
The eye of the needle is firmly slammed shut.
Best wishes to Jan Mick.
That will fucking do it. Mind you, when it does arrive at the sphincter of departure it will crown like a new born.
Fuck, 16 days ago, that should have occurred by now
Yep. Felt like giving birth.
Update:
IBS has eased.
Back is freer but manageable.
Tinnitus has stopped but I now have Swimmer’s Ear.
Monday I go in for surgery on my Farmer’s and an internal issue. Day surgery at a private hospital (Royal Buckinghamshire) paid for by the NHS.
This is “The future”, apparently
All the best Terry, hope they get you sorted
All things crossed mate.
Best of luck with it all Terry
All the best Terry.
This is how cataract surgery is done here now. In a lot of ways it seems to work well - the people doing it are very experienced indeed, the process is businesslike and slick because it’s not interrupted by emergencies and they seem to be a bit more ‘patient focused’ perhaps because their reputation with patients matters more.
But the organisational barrier between them and the rest of the NHS is at least as bad as the barriers within the NHS. So I’ve just had to walk down to my GP’s to book an appointment (being there in person hugely improves your chance of getting one) to discuss transferring an eye-drop prescription. Prescription transfer ought to be a completely seamless process. But no. The health service is fragmented, so it isn’t.
Any way, all the best for next week Terry. Despite all the ‘process’, at least the work will get done.
It may be of interest to people here that when I had my cataracts done on the NHS by a private clinc, I got a free pen. Thay also offered to correct my vision, for an extra payment.
The evidence suggests that you should have accepted their offer.
Just so. Stinginess has its drawbacks.
Back from hospital. Internal procedure was successful and should lead to less frequent IBS flare ups.
Farmer’s are now gone, but (naturally) post op pain is horrendous. Had a bath to remove excess bandages (recommended) and now trying to get through the night without needing a shit.
ANALgesia is the future.
Royal Buckinghamshire Hospital is heavily staffed with a level of attention and care the NHS could only ever dream of.
This statement hurts this lefty to admit more than you could ever know.
