Smart shoes aka Dr Cunties Cunty shoe emporium

" Carpenters and gardeners wearing these boots can, if they wish, use their feet as an extra pair of hands, for example to hold objects in place. There is also a line of knee-high all-rubber jika- tabi that is used by workers in rice fields and/or wet and muddy environments." Tabi boots are worn by Ninjas. The silver reflective surface effectively shields all known scalar waves. The Cuban heel allows for spontaneous tangoing and clod stomping (Depending on your whim)

Just one man’s opinion, but I don’t think the style of boots you’re looking at and Plantar Fasciitis are a good mix. Your feet, your choice :slightly_smiling_face:

I honestly don’t know mate - I flailed around for a while 3 years ago trying all sorts of “anatomically correct” footwear - NFG. Then my brother (who it turned out has the same issue) said “try these” and lobbed a set of Scholl sports orthopaedic inserts at me - now I can wear any footwear I like, walk up to 20 miles in a day, and aside from some abrasion sometimes, no pain at-all. The boots I’m looking at will not be used for distance walking in any case.

Do you suffer from it then?

I feel your pain. Hiking boots and walking shoes seem to work for me. Kinda sucks for formal occasions.

Dropped William Lennon’s a line about sizing - no response. I’ll call next week, but inability to respond to email doesn’t instill me with confidence…

Sorely tempted by a pair of tan Stow with combat soles. Anyone owned this style / 4497S Last boots comment on width? 4444 Last would be ideal, but fuck all but clown shoes in my size.

if you can find a pair of Trickers Ellis somewhere, I think they are made on the 4444 last, I bought mine a half size up.

Brogue lace up boots, elastic on one side and commando sole

GAH! In searching for that for a looksee, I resorted to the full-fat Trickers site - thought “sod-it, praps I’ll stretch to full price if I can at least have the exact style, colour, size and sole combo I really like…”

Can I fuck as like!

Bunch of midlander cunts

Trickers does have a factory shop, might be worth a nose to try stuff on.

I need a pair of shoes soon, maybe we need a mooch one Saturday morning.

I have a pair of these, very nice.

They are a manufacturer and not a retail shop and it is Saturday

That last fits true to size, not for flippers

I might have my lasts mixed up.
Stow boots fit true to size.
Bourton Country shoes are larger. I dropped half a size for the Bourton Brogues but my Stow boots are normal size. I have slim elegant refined feet not walrus flippers

They do take a bit of time and will make to order so nothing happens quickly. Another one to consider that looks good is the trickster Malvern boot. Expensive but often available on eBay via a reseller at cheaper prices. Nice fit, but I opted for the beadales as it was instantly comfortable and two hundred reasons cheaper from the factory shop.

Never tried the Stow so fuck all I can offer there👌

Nearly forgot, don’t write of Oliver Sweeney. Their 305 last is essentially a G fit and pulls off that trick of internal volume and a slimmer look externally. I bought a pair of brogue shoes in this last and they were bob on. Their Dunbeath boot comes with commando sole too. Worth a try if you can get to one of their shops and currently fifty quid off online.

As always you’ll know the boot for you as soon as you try it on,

it’s not that good, they dont have alot of stuff. When I went I used it as a try on for the different lasts, styles and then bought online. With very large sizes I’d try ringing ahead to see what they had.

Haven’t been. I get as far as Cheaney and usually end up with a pair so go no further.
