Smart shoes aka Dr Cunties Cunty shoe emporium

I only buy leather walking boots, hangover from the army  and the first thing with new boots was always an application of neatsfoot oil and then dubbin.

The Scarpa HS12 leather cream is supposed to be very good though.

I use a hydrocream nowadays, the Nikwax one but the Scarpa stuff should be excellent

Not used that but this works great. It’s wet underfoot here, even in summer.

Saphir footwear foo is proper foo!

Got a good deal on them in my local outdoor shop, 20% off the sale price with the veterans card and free tub of HS12 wax.

Excellent, I won’t post any spoilers

So, nothing like as bad a timescale as I expected. Which is handy.

I have finally joined the world of the slipper wearer. Finding something that fitted my flippers proved challenging, though. There’s a certain irony that finishing my 7 years of cheffing, I’ve finally acquired a pair of Birkenstocks, given theirs status as the chef shoe of choice in many restaurants.

The wife wears that exact model.

Giesswein here

never got slippers, wearing any form of footwear indoors feels weird to me

I’m the other way around. I have stubbed my toes so many times, I can’t bear the thought of it. Crocs for the win!

I’m quite happy in bare feet in the summer, but in winter it just gets too cold to not have something on my feet, and for some reason I really hate walking around the house in just my socks.

My slippers died, currently wearing flip flops. Luckily Christmas is nearly here
