Something else is positive

Positive without doubt. The aircraft cleaner on minimum wage probably handed it in.

I think on Easy Jet that will be the crew!

They will probably also charge you for converting the Euros into sterling and if someone from the charity turns up to collect the cash in person then they’ll charge him/her £15 to park their car. When it comes to airports I’m surprised the air’s still free.

Ahead of a visit in a couple of weeks to Paul @Mrs_Maureen_OPinion who has a NATO strap for my watch I wanted to refit the old strap so I could carry on wearing it. That needed a 24mm springbar. I could have ordered one online but my poor impulse control meant I wanted it NOW so I phoned a jeweller instead. This one, to be precise

Yes, they had a springbar. Yes, if I drove the watch over they’d fit it. So I did. “Give us 20 minutes” said the lady in the shop. When I came back, having had an ice-cream, the job was done.

“How much ?” I asked.

“A pound.”

“A pound ?!!”

“Yes, would you like to pay by cash or card ?”

“Cash” I said, and handed them a coin. I’d have put some more in a charity box if they’d had one.

I think I can see why retail is in such dire financial straits …

Good result :+1:

I guess some retailers still see the value of goodwill and word-of-mouth - I mean, here we all are taking positive note of the name of a retailer most of us won’t have heard of before.

Now you have a relationship with them you should have asked to go on the list for a Stainless Steel Daytona :grinning:

I take it they cost more than ÂŁ1.

I’ve just had a look and they’re nice enough, but personally I prefer black to silver .

May seem small, but these things make a big difference. Quite mild out, so these bottles handed out at Purley are much appreciated! :+1::sunglasses:

My second favourite pub in Brussels shut down.

Sad face.

At the time nobody knew why because it was very popular and seemed to be a licence to print money.

Anyway, it’s back, albeit with a different name :tada:

The beer commentariat reckon it hasn’t changed, which is nice.

Strong recommend if you’re in the area.

It’s my default pit stop on the way to Ancienne Belgique. I was pretty put out when it shut.

This is disproportionately good news.

Today, I saw a beautiful soul that I asked out a while back. She gave me a hand-written response. She isn’t single, but hey that’s cool!

So beautifully written was the response, I shall keep it forever. Lovely! :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

I also really like Bambies! :star_struck:

Just looking at it, he’s 60 so she was 41 when he was born.

Same age as my mother when I was born, and (in the spirit of the times) she was advised to abort me :face_with_diagonal_mouth:
