Borrowed a Chord Qutest to see how it compares to the onboard DAC in my streamer.
It’s a pretty impressive sounding piece of kit.
Will probably pick one up soon.

Several headphone systems all on a nice moveable platform. The RME is currently downstairs with the Elegia.
I do miss having a speaker based system but being able to have several different sounding setups has proven very enjoyable.
If only you had access to technical support to work out what all the pretty colours mean

I’m not a football fan, so listening to music, researching various things and looking at the screen occasionally is perfect🙂
I see you won a prise for the biggest PA system in the loft competition.
Ooooh yes
Actually it was doing this and winning the Championship…
That’s not me racing but the car was a similar Caterham, and so was the action🙂
Danley Sound Labs SH50s.
They are getting more and more traction everywhere, slower uptake in the UK as Danley is US based.
I don’t use the same compression drivers though.
Trusty Vitavox S2s in mine.
It would be great to hear them at Settle… just sayin’…
I too caterham and track. This looks like a fun short circuit. Ive thought about doing the javelin sprint series!
It’s just too far away:sob:![]()

It’s Lydden Hill, quite a good elevation change and hang on to it corners / loops.
We also raced at Brands and once at Llandow.
I did lots of track days before racing and was online racing a lot.
Best trackday was at Spa many moons ago. That was great.
Only downer was friend and travel buddy totalled his 7 there in the first 5 minutes as it was very wet and safety car had just pulled in!
By the afternoon it was glorious - typical Spa!
Racing sort of ruined road use for me.
Was never going to recreate the thrill etc.
So, the 7 eventually was moved on.
Nice memories though…
Be warned, it’s a slippery slope to racing ![]()
Yeah I track day constantly throughout the year and go to the Nurburgring quite a bit.
This was the weekend we got the r400, it was flawed as hell, pedal placement all over the place and dreadful alignment. But it was still quick as hell around blyton!
There’s an entire section of the forum for bullshitting about cars.
I mean everything is bullshit isn’t it?
This is life’s great paradox - but we also have a ‘Bullshit Philosophy’ thread for it somewhere…
