This is true; hardly ever used then… makes sense I suppose; one should be listening to live music outdoors in the summer…
…and playing the signed vinylz and CDs in the winter!

Really enjoying how it sounds but I’m thinking about building a horn system after seeing the shenanigans on here. I’ve an empty garage that’s 6m ish square with a pitched roof that could house such a system.

Extend the garage by 3m on one side, pitched roof is great but square is not optimum.

Hopefully next year try some more tweaks with the speakers and try some better electronics on them and possibly set up my vinyl front end. Would be nice to try something with less power like 2a3 or 300b etc and valve preamp. Then maybe build some proper birch ply cabinets if I decide to keep the onken bass.

Just parachuted these sexxy wee Pioneer RM-05 actives into the main rig this arrvo.
Involved a fair amount of hoiking stuff around & clearing a shelf of records to another rack.
Sounding really good despite dinky dimensions. There’s a bit of T.A.D. Labs genesis in these wee boxes, designed by Andrew Jones (the second & earlier rm-07 link & review gives more detail of this & more specifics as to the dual coincident compound two way drive units design)
Chunky Boyz at 10.5kg each solid die cast aluminium cabs, woven aramid mid-bass & aluminium hard dome tweeter.
I may leave getting the XTZ 99.36 repaired until after crimbo.

In a similar vein Chris, my 300B SE amp yesterday, went low on one channel, so I swapped in the AI Alto and I’m not at all sure I can be arsed to get the valve amp looked at. I’ve never had any luck with them, so may well just sell the 300B valve pairs.

Sorry about that Mike! Likewise, at least it’s nice to have summat capable to slot in. I reckon I can live with this a while, can’t believe how grown up they manage to sound given the diddy toy-like dimensions!

I’m well chuffed Mike - it took a bit of financial jiggery pokery mind 
It was a great deal as they’ve let me keep the upgraded Psvane valves and it means I just keep the Cayin here and they’re arranging for the Luxman to be picked up on Friday.

They really are top notch.
I’ve been dealing with them for a few years now and not once have they given me the hard sell. Also, them being very amenable to part exchange has allowed me to get amplifiers that I couldn’t afford if I was to just buy it straight off.
I can’t recommend them highly enough.
