Great stuff. Now you will be able to do a direct comparison!
Enjoy, for a couple of weeks.

Is the DAC the smaller box one up from the EAR?

What is it please?

Your wall plugs are high. Did an old person live there before you?

Looks like an RF socket there too. I bet it was done for a wall mounted telly.

Yep :+1:

Mystery solved.

It’s an exogal comet , ex wadia people, defunct now. It’s basically a block of metal with a shit remote and outdated android app, six FPGAs and uses bezier curve math because it’s a “decoding computer”

I could quite easily get the matching ion unit and live with that as a powerdac because it sounds ridiculous.

About 2.5 for the pair now. Good luck coming close lol chord

They do sound mint now - really makes me wonder how long ago those mid/bass units had failed…

Happy to give the big horns a new home, pending remortgage/panic watch/hifi selling…

It’s a fucking lovely room - even bare-arsed sans soft-furnishings Jim’s system sounds superb in there, significantly better than Ilford - the proportions are near-ideal, and I’m sure the big 'uns are going to sound outstanding in there.

Just needs a couple of leopard-print throws and a massive one of these -

Yes, the walls need some artwork and the windows curtains/drapes. I want to get the Gotos installed first, then see if any room treatment is needed, so it can all be coordinated. :+1:
