You’re getting that back to front…

Nice to see you are expanding your optional extras to include cup holders.

Nearly finished this one, rippled Sycamore and rippled Australian blackwood. At 240 grit, a few more to go ending at 2000.

Only a couple of weeks and then I’ll be off on a pi6le lathe making course, one on one, looking forward to that.

And at 2000 grit, no finish applied yet

Which abrasives do you prefer Bob? Is it all done by hand or only the finer grits that are done by hand?

The flat panels finished using a Festool random with Grant paper. The curves are hand finished using Norton no fil adalox. Final 2000 grit is garnet paper, hand.

Is the marmalade ‘Le Herring Rouge,’ or secret plinth pomade?

Lol, that’s the last oil based short oil varnish I have left, none for sale in the world now. Looked at summer Baltic amber varnish but a tenner per cl is a tad steep. Will be making my own varnish from now on.

On a happier note my useless Pax crosscut saw had been fitted with a new 12 point rip blade, 30 quid, excellent.

Top tip, don’t waste money on small cross cut saws, you really don’t need them.

You need invisible unobtanium varnish.
Think what you could charge for that!
