Cancelling my gym membership.
Not earth shattering in itself (I had planned to cancel in September leading up to leaving the country) but, it’s been building over the last couple of weeks.
I go twice a week to maintain aerobic fitness and restore muscle loss.
I have never enjoyed it, but have been determined to continue.
Until…a newby, who has anger issues, started making the environment impossible.
There are clear 'Roid issues. He has been reported by a few of us who are…err…of a certain age, but nothing has been done.
A little conceptual info might be needed. This Leisure Centre is in the middle Blackbird Leys. Google it and you’ll get an idea.
This guy appears to be angry at anyone he views as foreign. I made the mistake of putting my head above the parapet by defending an Asian woman (in Hijab) who was on the adjacent treadmill to me.
After hearing my accent (not strong TBF), I became a target.
This morning, he shouted in my face that the treadmill was his, and I needed to get off.
I got off and went to the changing room.
He went follow me, so I changed direction to the reception (maintaining CCTV contact).
The receptionist heard the ruckass and contacted security.
I was then escorted to retrieve my stuff, on my return there was no sign of Mr. Roidrage.
Nobody seemed to know what had happened, nor cared.
Seriously fucked off, I made a formal complaint.
The upshot being;
For the last few weeks, I am able to use multiple sites until membership is cancelled.
