Not sure, it was on the USO website.

We once spent a very miserable night at JFK (yup, in the airport building) because none of the ground staff would venture out onto the apron during a prolonged thunderstorm. Apparently the aircraft ‘attract lightning’.

I had the same experience in Saigon as VB in JFK. All the ground staff left the ramp for 4 hours during a thunderstorm - the lightening was very dramatic.
