The Boys' Own Book of Aeroplanes

Probably nothing most on this thread haven’t seen already.
But I have just come across a series on the Ch 4 app.

Just watched S1E1 on restoring a Mk14 Spitfire

Excellent

I think the Scooby Doo villain enhances the photo

So just me wondering WTF Ace Frehley out of off of Kiss is doing in the cockpit of a nuclear bomber in 1959?

Gremlin left over from WW2? Or Mr Death hisself come to check over a favourite delivery system. “And I would have succeeded too, if it wasn’t for those pesky kids!”

Could be a Marvel/parallel universe timetravel thing. Wasn’t there a Kiss comic once?

Now if it had been Gene, no-one would have been in the least bit surprised, but it’s quite clearly Ace up there! :open_mouth:

Saw this posted on Airliners.net.

You might even see one of RAF Luton’s Canberras.

That can’t have been a small job - but it’s a graceful thing in flight

We just had an unusual flypast. Brilliantly captured for all to enjoy…

Actually the UK version of one of these…

Airbus A400M

*A former RAF Wing Commander who lives in the village identified it. Based at Brise Norton apparently.

Looks like Sky Nessie to me.

What they’ve replaced all the old Hercules with. They fly past the bathroom window every few weeks. VERY low.

Do you wave at the pilot when you’re on the shitter?

They occasionally fly through the Nant Ffrancon pass. From where I am standing (front gate) I seem to be looking down at them.

I used to wave me willy at 'em, but I’ve trouble finding it nowadays… :mag_right: :mag:
