The Benelli Sei

Any idea what’s going on with the front end on the LC?

I’d say they were trying for a Super Moto look, extended twin shocks on the rear and long travel front forks with spoked wheels. I think it looks good.

And the back end !

180 miles on the old girl today.
The most I’ve done in a day since I got it a couple years ago. Apart from a very numb bum after a while it’s been faultless.

Stopped for a coffee and there were a few on vintage bikes. This one was lovely

Bet that sounds great as well - and the Duc behind looks cool too; I didn’t know they used to make big singles.

Diana Mk3? 250cc bevel drive. They also did the 350cc Sebring.

Of course, in (relatively) more recent years they did the Supermono too.

There was a slightly eccentric Brit who tried to produce a road going version under license. Nice bloke but obsessed with it. Ducati looked at his prototype, which used a 916 engine with a cylinder cut off, and were very impressed with his engineering but were never going to issue a license in a million years.

Sudden onset of unwell last Thursday gave me time off work and a decent run on the big toy

How are you finding it? I’ve heard so many good things about them.

:scream:

Its very good but a few niggles compared to the previous model.
Fueling is a bit odd in lower rev range with a pronounced lump in engine braking.
Im not getting on with the suspension but i suspect the head bearings are at fault. Its in for service on 26th so hopefully will be rectified then. It really doesnt like low speed bumps, like rumble strips. It got way out of shape mid corner on some brake bumps, properly bouncing the front around.

Niggles aside, it seems to pick up a bit quicker and yet be smoother. Seating position is more relaxed, less heavy on the arms. Overall i like it.
